Majunga Debut: Loowatt MG Supports Tulipe 2025
In April 2025, Loowatt MG proudly provided essential sanitation services for Tulipe 2025, a multinational military maneuver held in Majunga. The event brought together over 1,500 military personnel from the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) countries, including Madagascar, Réunion, Mauritius, Seychelles, Comoros, and France.
Through our MobiKab mobile sanitation service, we installed and operated 10 waterless toilets for a continuous 14-day period, serving a camp of 300 personnel with dignity, hygiene, and comfort under challenging field conditions.
"This deployment marked a turning point for us - not only as a demonstration of operational excellence in demanding environments but also as a gateway into Majunga for long-term impact," said Rindra, Director of Sales and Marketing at Loowatt MG.
This was Loowatt MG’s first operational presence in Majunga, opening the door to future collaborations in the Boeny Region. The quality of service delivered has already led to ongoing discussions with the Regional Directorate of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, with a plan to establish a permanent showcase site for Loowatt’s circular sanitation system.
The feedback from users during the operation was overwhelmingly positive. Military personnel highlighted the cleanliness, comfort, and innovation of Loowatt’s waterless toilet technology. According to UNICEF, nearly 23% of Madagascar’s population still practices open defecation, posing serious health and environmental risks. Innovative systems like MobiKab are critical to addressing this gap.
The Tulipe 2025 operation demonstrates that circular sanitation models are not just for cities or homes - they’re vital for mobile camps and emergency operations. Loowatt MG’s ability to deliver premium sanitation under pressure reinforces our role as a leading provider of sustainable sanitation solutions across Madagascar.
