Advocating for Sanitation at National Roundtable

In April 2025, Loowatt MG was honoured to participate in a strategic roundtable on sustainable infrastructure development for Madagascar, hosted by the Groupement des Entreprises de Madagascar (GEM) and the Mouvement des Entreprises de France International (MEDEFi).

This high-level event brought together key players from the private sector and major development institutions, including the World Bank, African Development Bank, Agence Française de Développement (AFD), and the European Union. It also featured representation from major French corporations and investors committed to supporting Madagascar’s growth.

"The roundtable was a vital opportunity to position circular sanitation as a core pillar of sustainable infrastructure," said Rindra, Director of Sales and Marketing at Loowatt MG. "We were able to engage directly with French private sector leaders and development agencies who are critical to accelerating the sanitation agenda in Madagascar."

Loowatt MG shared its experience delivering waterless, dignified sanitation through its MobiKab service, including recent deployments at the Tulipe 2025 military operation in Majunga and STAR Madagascar’s Easter event in Antsirabe. These projects demonstrate our capacity to operate across contexts - from public events to high-security environments - while addressing critical health and environmental needs.

With more than 85% of Madagascar’s population still lacking access to safely managed sanitation, partnerships with experienced French companies, backed by development cooperation, are essential to scaling innovation. Loowatt MG is actively exploring collaborations that will bring technical expertise, investment, and long-term commitment to the sanitation sector.

We are proud to contribute to national policy conversations while remaining grounded in practical, field-tested solutions. By working together - public, private, local, and international - we can deliver real impact for communities across Madagascar.

MobiKab: Commercial Sanitation with Social Impact

One of the core strengths of Loowatt MG’s commercial offering is its dual impact model. Through MobiKab, our clients not only receive reliable, waterless sanitation for their events or worksites, but also contribute directly to expanding access to sanitation for low-income communities in Madagascar.

When you rent just one MobiKab toilet for a single day, you help secure a full month of sanitation service for 10 low-income households in Antananarivo - positively impacting at least 60 people. A month-long rental helps extend access to 20 households, improving life for over 120 people.

And the benefits go beyond human dignity:
- 9,030 liters of water are preserved for the community for every toilet rented per day.
- 1,075 kg of waste is safely collected and disposed, protecting families from serious health risks.
- When rented for a full month, that impact doubles: 18,000 liters of water saved and 2,100 kg of waste managed.

With MobiKab, your company doesn’t just improve hygiene and working conditions on-site - it becomes a partner in environmental and social transformation. Clients can track their impact through tailored reports, photos, and even visit the households they are supporting.

This circular model is a compelling reason for French corporations and international stakeholders to partner with Loowatt MG - combining operational excellence with measurable, life-changing impact.
